Our lab seeks to uncover how GABAergic inhibitory neurons develop, mature and contribute to the normal functions of the brain.

We study genes involved in inhibitory neuron development and maturation as well as those implicated in disease. In addition, we are interested in how Autism Spectrum Disorder risk-genes contribute to the normal biology of the brain and how mutations in these genes impact function.
